The forums here got hacked and all posts got deleted. I'm guessing it was done by one of those phpBB worms that go signing up to forums and hacking them.
There is now a visual confirmation step that has to be used when registering an account - that should hopefully help prevent this happening again.
I haven't made very frequent backups of the database here - so everything is restored from 09/03/2006 - sorry TCK, lost your lovely news items
I know the main problem here is the forum software, phpBB is indeed crappy and I would much prefer to use
SMF.
Later on this holiday I might convert it to SMF so everything is more secure and just plain better.
Sorry for taking this long to restore everything - been busy the last few days with moving to a new flat in Belfast and then having to fly home for a bit.
Update: Forums upgraded to latest version.
